Protective Clothing / Glove

Protective clothing / glove can be used when handling harmful gaseous, liquid or particulate chemical substances such as acids, alkalis, and organic chemicals, to prevent permeation and penetration of chemicals.

There are two main types of chemical protective clothing, the full body protective clothing and the part protective clothing, and the protective clothing can be classified into more detail types by use.

Classification of Chemical Protective Clothing (JIS T 8115:2015)

Full Body Protective Clothing	The clothing protects the full body against chemical substances.

Airtight clothing

SCBA Combination Type Airtight Protective Clothing (Inner Type)	Airtight protective clothing to which SCBA is mounted inside the suit.
SCBA Combination Type Airtight Protective Clothing (Outside Type)	Airtight protective clothing to which SCBA is mounted outside the suit.
Supplied-air Type Pressurized Protective Clothing	Fresh air is supplied to the clothing inside through air line. Including respiratory protection device combination type.

Non-airtight clothing

Positive Pressure Clothing	It protects whole body including hands, legs and head, and use fresh air to keep positive pressure of the clothing inside. It is un-sealed type.
Chemical Protective Clothing against Liquid	Each portion of the clothing, gloves and boots are combined as whole body protective clothing, and it can protect workers against liquid chemical substances jets of liquid chemical.
Chemical Protective Clothing against Spray	Each portion of the clothing, gloves and boots are combined as whole body protective clothing to protect workers against spray of liquid chemical substances.
Chemical Protective Clothing against Airborne Solid Particulates	It is whole body protective clothing to protective workers against airborne solid particulates.
Chemical Protective Clothing against Mist	Each portion of the clothing, gloves and boots are combined as whole body protective clothing to protect workers against mist of liquid chemical substances.

Part Protective Clothing	The clothing protects a part of the body such as apron, boots, shoes cover, gown, hood, jacket, protect coat, arm cover and smock.
